Agapanthus comes from Greek words that mean: flower of love.
This flower stem is entirely leafless.
Vase life 7-14 days, it’s important to change the water every 2 days and trim Trim 3cm to 5 cm diagonally off the stem with a clean and sharp knife or secateurs. Ideal temperature 1-5 °C

Aster

Available year round Aster is the Greek word for star.
Aster symbolises sincerity.
Vase Life 7-10 days. Prefers temperature of 1-5°C.
Aster flowers (Aster and Symphyotrichum species) are generally considered non-toxic and safe for dogs, cats, and horses. While not poisonous, eating large amounts can cause mild gastrointestinal upset, such as vomiting or diarrhoea, in pets.

Amaryllis (Hippeastrum

Available December - April the Amaryllis or Hippeastrum literally means 'knight star' and refers to the star-shaped petals. Hippeus= knight and astron = star.
Proud and bewitching beauty. Gives a feeling of friendship and affection.
Suitable for Christmas arrangements.
Vase Life 10-14 days. Prefers temperature of 5-10°C.
Toxic to dogs, cats, and horses due to lycorine and calc ium oxalate crystals, causing vomiting, diarrhoea, drooling, lethargy, and tremors, with the bulb being the most dangerous part. Keep the entire plant, especially bulbs, away from pets to prevent poisoning

Delphinium (Larkspur)

Delphinium means floating.
Delphinium is derived from Delphi, where the oracle of Apollo was located.
Delphinium is a genus of the buttercup family Ranunculaceae and is native to the Northern Hemisphere.
All delphinium contains 'alkaloid delphinine' which is extremely toxic and will cause vomiting if ingested.
Small amounts of delphinium have also been used in herbalism over the years.
Delphinium are very thirsty flowers.
Select a clean vase and fill it with tap water (room temperature).
Add cut flower food to the water for a longer vase life.
Trim 3 to 5 cm diagonally off the stem with a clean and sharp knife or secateurs.
Make sure there are no leaves hanging in the water.
Do not place flowers in a draught, in full sun or near a source of heat.
Regularly top up with tap water.
These flowers drink a lot. Check them regularly!

Mildly toxic to cats and dogs; can cause gastrointestinal issues if ingested.

Antirrhinum comes from Greek words that mean: nose-like flower.
Antirrhinum are non-toxic to pets. While generally safe, eating large amounts might cause mild, temporary stomach upset or vomiting.

Alstromeria (Peruvian Lily)

Hyacinths

Lilies

Available all year.
Extremely toxic to cats (can cause kidney failure), mildly toxic to dogs.
Several species of lilies are toxic to cats, including Easter lilies, Tiger lilies, Daylilies, and Asiatic lilies

Tweedia (Oxypetalum coeruleum)

Tweedia is a stunning, true-blue cut flower with a velvet texture and a 7-10 day vase life.
The star-like flowers open gradually, offering a gentle visual transformation over time.
Like all milkweed, it’s toxic when ingested but you shouldn’t have problems with pets eating it because it has a strong taste that animals tend to avoid.
Tweedia is in the milkweed family, it releases a sticky white sap when cut, which may cause minor skin irritation.
When conditioning individual stems seal the stems with hot water to prevent sap leakage and ensure hydration.

Indoors: A fresh Christmas wreath typically lasts 2–3 weeks if displayed in a cool, dry place.
Outdoors: When hung in a cool, shaded outdoor location, a fresh wreath can last up to 4–6 weeks, as the cooler temperatures help preserve the greenery.
Pine, Fir, Spruce, or Cedar: These are commonly used in wreaths and are generally non-toxic to pets. However, ingestion of large amounts can cause mild stomach upset or irritation due to the oils they contain.
Holly: Holly berries and leaves are toxic to both cats and dogs. Ingestion can cause vomiting, diarrhea, and lethargy.
Mistletoe: Highly toxic to pets. Even small amounts can cause gastrointestinal upset, drooling, and in severe cases, heart issues or neurological symptoms.
Eucalyptus: toxic to cats and dogs, causing drooling, vomiting, and diarrhea.
Choose the right location
Place your wreath in a cool, shaded area away from direct sunlight, we suggest on your door. Exposure to direct sunlight or heat will dry out the foliage more quickly.
If you’re hanging the wreath indoors, avoid placing it near heating vents, radiators, or fireplaces.
Keep away from heat sources
Avoid placing candles, lights, or other heat sources near your wreath unless the lights are LED and emit little to no heat. Overheating can dry out the foliage and pose a fire risk.
